Soledad, comunicación padre-hijo e implicación en conductas de ciberacoso en adolescentes y jóvenes adultos

Resumen

Internet se utiliza como herramienta para superar el sentimiento de soledad, al permitir la comunicación con los demás, pero también puede ser un contexto de riesgo para el desarrollo de los jóvenes. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo explorar la relación entre la soledad, la comunicación entre padres e hijos y la cibervictimización. El estudio se realizó con una muestra de 401 adolescentes y adultos jóvenes, con edades comprendidas entre los 15 y los 24 años. Para la recolección de datos se utilizaron la Escala de Soledad (UCLA), la Escala de Evaluación de la Comunicación en la Crianza (COMPA-A) y el Cuestionario de Victimización Cibernética (CYVIC). Los resultados indican una prevalencia total del 78,3% que ha sido víctima de al menos una conducta de ciberacoso. Sugieren que la soledad se correlaciona positivamente con la cibervictimización y negativamente con un patrón de comunicación positiva con los padres. Finalmente, se encontró que la cibervictimización y el patrón de comunicación negativo predicen positivamente la soledad, y la expresión de afecto y apoyo emocional de la figura materna predice negativamente la soledad. Estos resultados indican que es necesario tener en cuenta las consecuencias psicológicas derivadas del ciberacoso y proporcionar estilos de crianza que favorezcan la comunicación padres-filiales dirigida al uso problemático de Internet.
