Are nursing addresses required in Colombia?

Abstract

Various needs emerge from political and governmental changes in the health system. It requires in-depth nursing professional training that allows them to manage care in different performance areas as human, physical, and financial resources to respond to environmental demands. Also, they must preserve in their framework of action as the referents of humanized care and active participation in decision-making at the strategic level of organizations. As well as leadership with a staff committed, to patient care processes, while continuing to analyze the current scenario and context of uncertainty.

For this reason, this article reflects on strengthening nursing directions in Colombia as an essential factor for developing health organizations. This is to the extent that it integrates care management actions in the organizational sphere, considering the elements that characterize the nursing profession. At the same time the need for in-depth post-graduate training in this area to contribute to the development of the profession and the improvement of nursing indicators during health care.
