Transcending the humanization of care: the challenge of nursing in the 21st century

Abstract

Great efforts have been made and continue to be made to humanize nursing care, what is proposed is to open a path towards a hermeneutic-deconstructivist methodology of the term humanization, preserving the advances, but pointing towards a reconstruction or resignification of what caring implies, that is to say, to retake the epistemological and ontological richness of care. However, it is also necessary to take a critical look at contemporaneity, production models, the theoretical-practical schism, and a possible disengagement of care in this interrelation. In this sense, it is essential to return to the simple, to the essential, in order to move forward, to transcend and to take care of care.
