Antecedentes, definiciones y clasificación de los ensayos clínicos controlados

Abstract

El artículo, es el primero de una serie que revisará el tema de los estudios de intervención o ensayos clínicos controlados. Revisa la importancia de ésta metodología y sus antecedentes, aborda las definiciones más utilizadas y las clasificaciones de éste tipo de estudios. En los siguientes artículos sobre el tema, se revisarán: El diseño, conducción y análisis de los ensayos clínicos, las consideraciones éticas y las regulaciones para aprobación y ejecución de los mismos. SUMMARY The article, is the first of a series that will review the topic of the intervention studies or controlled clinical trials. It revises the importance of this methodology and their antecedents, it approaches the used definitions and the classifications of this type of studies. In the following articles on the topic, we will be revised: The design, conduction and analysis of randomized controlled trials, the ethical considerations and the regulations for approval and ejecution of the same ones.
