LA FAMILIA, SOPORTE PARA LA RECUPERACIÓN DE LA ADICCIÓN A LAS DROGAS. (Family, recovery support for drug addiction disease)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
For today’s society, drug addiction represents a very important public health problem. But a larger degree of understanding and through this, a better acceptation of the multi-cause origin of its effects, and the need of a comprehensive intervention during treatment are required. Nine areas or domains should be considered to ensure positive treatment outcomes, among which family support stands out. It has been identified as essential to achieve the recovery of patients affected by drug addiction. Family involvement can be achieved through the use of a methodology that defines the principles and guidelines to be observed along the complete drug addiction treatment and recovery process. When there is a lack of a primary family core, substitute social support strategies must be implemented.
