Abstract

La obsesión de la periodoncia moderna ha sido lograr la regeneración de los tejidos periodontales previamente afectados por la enfermedad. Incontables esfuerzos se han hecho para encontrar los materiales adecuados para lograrlo. El propósito de esta investigación es iniciar una polémica sobre un nuevo método quirúrgico que intente llegar a tal fin. Se presentan tres casos representativos de tres grupos de estudio con variaciones en el procedimiento que permiten evaluar el comportamiento de esta técnica. Los resultados obtenidos clínicamente son prometedores, lo suficiente como para que un grupo de investigadores se dedique a ampliar el horizonte en este tópico. Abstract The goal of modern periodontics has been to obtain regeneration of periodontal tissues previously lost due to disease. Different materials have been studied in arder to achieve this. The purpose of this study is to initiate a debate with regard to a new surgical method that can reach this objetive. Three representative cases from three different study groups with variations in the procedures are presented. Clinical evaluations reveal promising results which have led this research group to continue working in this area in the future.
