COMPARACION DE LA REPRODUCTIBILIDAD DE DOS MATERIALES DE IMPRESION DE HIDROCOLOIDE IRREVERSIBLE. ESTUDIO "IN VITRO"

Abstract

El hidrocoloide irreversible (alginato) es el material de impresión más comunmente utilizado es la elaboración de modelos diágnosticos. Este estudio comparó la seguridad en la reproductibilidad de dos alginatos: Jeltrate (Caulk, .Co., USA) y Olympic (New Stetic Ltda., Colombia). Para ello se utilizó un modelo maxi¬lar ideal con 12 dientes, al cual se le tomaron 12 impresiones con cada uno de los alginatos y luego se hizo el vaciado en yeso tipo IV. Sobre estos modelos se tomaron 8 mediciones con un microscopio de taller de indicación digital con una precisión de lectura de 0.001 mm. Abstract Irreversible hydrocolloid (alginate) is the impressionmaterial used mostcornmonIy in making dental casts for diagnosis. This study compared the reproductibility accuracy of Jeltrate (Caulk Co., USA) and Olympic (New Stetic Ltda., Colombia). A maxillary dentoform with twenty-eight teeth was used as the master cast and twelve impressions were made with each material. The impressions were poured in type IV stone and eight lengths were measured in each cast, using a 0.001 rnm precision light microscope with digital reading display.
