Bienestar animal: hacia un nuevo paradigma bioético

Abstract

El presente artículo pretende expandir el campo de la bioética a la consideración de los animales como seres sintientes, a través del respeto de su bienestar. Se hace acento en la consideración de sus intereses y en la importancia de la educación, más aun en un mundo globalizado, en los procesos de transformación moral y cultural hacia una bioética – macrobioética, que ampare todas las formas de vida. En aplicación de una bioética principialista, se desarrolla una adaptación de los principios de autonomía, beneficencia, no maleficencia y justicia, al campo del bienestar animal, encontrando que para el tema, deben ser analizados en forma grupal, con mayor aplicación desde los principios
de no maleficencia y justicia.

Abstract

The present article tries to expand the field of the bioethics to the consideration of the animals as sintients beings, through the respect of its well-being. Accent is made in the consideration of its interests and the importance of the education, more even in a globalize world, in the processes of moral and cultural transformation towards a bioethics
– macrobioethic, that protects all life forms. In application of a principlisms bioethics, it is developed an adaptation of the principles of autonomy, charity, non balefulness and justice, to the field of the animal well-being, finding that for the subject, they must be analyzed in group form, with greater application since the principles of non balefulness
and justice.
