UNA INTERPRETACIÓN PSICOLÓGICA DEL MITO KOGI DE LA CREACIÓN. (Kogy creation myth. a psychological interpretation)

Resumen

RESUMEN Aunque los mitos se han abordado desde múltiples disciplinas que trabajan con el lenguaje simbólico, es poco conocida la aproximación que hace de ellos la Psicología analítica. La perspectiva de este enfoque creado por el médico suizo Carl G. Jung parte de considerar que los mitos pueden ser concebidos como proyecciones psíquicas de sus creadores en distintas épocas y culturas, que representan manifestaciones simbólicas del inconsciente colectivo. Este artículo busca dar a conocer algunas de las hipótesis y fundamentos básicos de este enfoque y dar un ejemplo de su utilidad interpretativa al aplicarlos a un mito colombiano, lectura que no pretende sustituir el análisis de otras disciplinas, sino complementar la comprensión de los mitos desde una mirada psicológica diferente.

ABSTRACT Although myths have been approached from multiple disciplines that deal with symbolic language, the studies carried out by Analytical Psychology on this subject are not very known. The perspective of this approach, created by the Swiss Psychologist Carl G. Jung , starts from the assumption  that myths can be conceived as the  psychic projections of their creators at different  times and cultures, representing symbolic manifestations of the collective unconscious. This article intends to present some of the hypotheses and elemental foundations of this approach and also, illustrates its interpretative value in  the Colombian Kogi  creation myth. Such analysis does not intend to take the place of other’s approaches analyses, but to complement the mythological understanding from a different psychological point of view.
